Hey, I'm Annie!

Originally from South East England but currently living in Antigonish, Nova Scotia, photography has been a passion of mine for a long time. It truly started when I got my first camera 15 years ago. I loved taking photos at family events and of my friends, so I decided to take this love of the art and make it grow. After two years studying Creative Media at college, I was given the opportunity to photograph weddings. I had a great mentor and started taking on my own clients. This was not the road I had expected to go down, but it is such an amazing experience and always an honour when a couple ask me to take photos of their big day.

 

I now specialise in relaxed family photography, portrait photography, wedding photos and much more! Moving to Canada from the UK has also sparked a new love of landscape photography, so I try to get out as much as possible to capture the magic of the wilderness.

 

It is so important to know your photographer, be it for your wedding day or just for a fun family shoot on the beach; so, here’s a little about me! I am a very happy, friendly person and will try my best to make you feel comfortable while having your photo taken. I love a bad joke and animals of all kinds. Plants and the great outdoors are very important to me, so most of my photos are taken outside, or with as much natural light as possible. Having taking photos professionally for over 10 years, I get it that ‘pose-y photos’ are not everyone’s favourite, so photos that are a little more candid and relaxed are where I tend to lean to.

 

On a side note, I am also a true believer that we need to protect our planet (now more than ever!) so all of my work is based around trying to be as environmentally friendly as possible. From printing my work to travelling around, I am always looking for ways to improve how my industry operates.
